Crafting Ceremonies With Heart (And a Bit of Mischief)

Hi, I’m Calum — celebrant, storyteller, and someone who will always choose an in‑person board game over anything with a loading screen. I’m 33, and while my generation got swept into the virtual world, I still think nothing beats being in a room with people… even if it ends with my sister flipping the Monopoly board in a fit of righteous fury.
(We’re a passionate family.)

I became a celebrant for a very personal reason. At the end of 2025, I lost my mum — a warm, loud, perfectly imperfect woman who had suggested more than once that this was a vocation I’d be well suited for. When I wrote and delivered her eulogy, something clicked. I realised I could capture that spark — the essence of who she was — in a way that made people smile through their tears. And I knew I wanted to do that for others.
To bring meaning, love, and a bit of light into moments that matter.

That’s really what drives me.
I want people to feel seen.
I want their stories told properly.
And I want ceremonies to feel like the people at the heart of them — warm, human, and full of the little details that make life worth celebrating.

People often tell me I feel “real”. I take that as the highest compliment. I’m up for a giggle, I keep things light where I can, and I listen — properly. Not just to the words, but to the meaning behind them. I want you to feel comfortable, understood, and able to be yourself.

Whether it’s a wedding, a funeral, or any milestone in between, I’m here to help you create something meaningful… and maybe share a smile along the way.
